About us
My name is Maria and I breed Canadian sphynxes in Seutula, Vantaa together with my husband Tommi. My breeding work has started in 2008 as a dog breeder under the Finnish Kennel Club (FCI), but as a second-generation breeder, I got my first contact with breeding work already as a child through a kennel in my home. Tommi has over two decades of cat experience. Pets have always been a significant part of our lives.
The idea of breeding a purebred Canadian sphynxes started in 2019 when the foundation queen Myrtti captivated us in 2019, and we decided to continue with this charming breed. For breeding, we only use high quality Canadian sphynxes that have been tested healthy, those that we believe have a positive impact for the breed. We appreciate the show results, but the most important thing is a healthy cat with all its qualities.
Health and its maintenance is an uncompromising part of our cat care and breeding. We strive to breed cats of the highest quality in character, health and fulfil the breed standard. The kittens are bred at our home and are very well socialized to be friendly, outgoing and easy to live with. We do our best to ensure that our breed will remain a vibrant and balanced family cat!

Temperament#
Our combinations are carefully considered and selected. We only use good-natured parents, and the kittens grow up in the middle of the family's everyday life.
Breed standard#
We strive to preserve and improve the breed within the framework of the FIFe Canadian Sphynx breed standard – with a little Calpurnia twist.
A very intelligent, sociable and active indoor cat
The Canadian Sphynx is a very intelligent, sociable and active indoor cat. Canadian Sphynxes are extremely people-oriented and especially crave human companionship. They become deeply attached and affectionate with their owners, but sometimes are not fussy about companionship. Nor do these cats lurk on top of a baking oven but are where the action is. They are also very talkative and can attract attention with their loud voices. The Canadian Sphynx easily gets used to children and other pets. Outdoor exercise should be done while tethered in a secure, familiar area.
As a very intelligent cat, the Canadian Sphynx enjoys having plenty to do in the form of activities. They are happiest when they have the opportunity to spend time with their human or feline companion on a daily basis. Cats will jump on your neck and perch on your shoulder. Our ripped home clothes are a source of amusement for surprise guests.
For a cat, the Canadian Sphynx has quite a lot of desire to please, hence the description of the breed as dog-like. It has been easy to teach our cats things like what is allowed and what is not. Our cats also stay awake during the day and sleep at night. Routines are important, but travel is also smooth.

Living with a Canadian sphynx
Canadian Sphynxes are affectionate and friendly creatures. They are sincere, don't pretend, crave lots of love and attention, but give it all back. With good care and nutrition, a Canadian Sphynx is a wonderful experience, every day of the year.
