We are dedicated to our cats’ health

As a reflection of our unwavering commitment to the health and wellbeing of our kittens, we are proud to share that no family has ever needed to seek veterinary care for illness during the kitten period.

» All our adult cats are regularly health tested with a comprehensive laboratory panel, and each kitten is also screened for parasites and infections before leaving for their new home — because we believe in doing things the right way.

A responsible breeder nurtures the health and well-being of cats

We breed Canadian Sphynxes on a small scale and in a deliberate way at home. Health and health maintenance are paramount in our cat ownership and breeding practices.

Our cats are very extensively health tested. Our kittens are vet checked 3 times before being released to their new homes. Our kittens have a safe and clean growing environment full of stimulation. As a responsible breeder, we offer support throughout a cat's life in every situation.

Balanced character

Character is a cat's most important quality when it comes to its role as a human companion. Character is the result of the interaction between a cat's genetic make-up and its environment.

Breeding should always aim to ensure that the cats used in breeding are balanced in character and behaviour. Among the environmental influences, the experiences and conditions of kittenhood are of particular importance for the cat's character later in life.

Choosing a breeder

The search and selection of a suitable breeder and litter should be done carefully. One of the most important guidelines towards your future Sphynx kitten is agreement on the broad lines of breeding, such as health or welfare.

The production of kittens is common and patience is needed to find a quality litter. Before deciding to buy, it is important to get to know the kitten, the growing conditions and the breeder's thoughts on cat breeding. We carefully select our breeding cats to ensure high quality in health, character and breed quality of our kittens.

Responsible and ethical breeding means doing the right decisions on the animal's terms. Instead of producing kittens in quantity, we focus on preserving a vibrant breed.

Getting a Pedigree Cat

A pedigree cat always has an official certificate of registration and pedigree. The framework for breeding pedigree cats is defined at federal and organisational level.

By choosing a kitten from a registered breeder, you can contribute to the welfare of cats and support compliance with the health standards set. You should not buy a cat from an unspecified circumstances. The kitten should be lively, clean, have healthy skin and be able to move around normally. The cat's eyes should be clean, clear and not shy.

In the case of an exceptionally low-priced kitten, it is worth investigating the kitten's origins or thinking about what has been compromised in the design, implementation and breeding of the litter - or what compromises the cattery in question makes in general.
